This policy explains the basic data practices for Dividend Visualizer. It should be reviewed by a qualified attorney before broad commercial launch.
1. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use the service, we may collect:
- Account information such as your email address and Google sign-in identifier.
- Portfolio information you enter or save, including tickers, shares, prices, distributions, settings, and projections.
- Uploaded or pasted report content used by Report Intake.
- Subscription status, plan level, and billing event metadata from payment providers.
- Technical information such as device/browser details, IP-derived logs, and basic usage events needed to operate and secure the service.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to provide the dashboard, authenticate users, save portfolios, process uploads, enforce plan limits, troubleshoot issues, improve the service, prevent abuse, and support billing or customer service.
3. Service Providers
Dividend Visualizer may rely on third-party providers, including Supabase for authentication/database services, Google for sign-in, Cloudflare for hosting/email routing/security, Stripe for payments, and dividend/market-data providers for lookup features. These providers may process information under their own terms and privacy policies.
4. Payments
If paid plans are enabled, payment details such as card numbers should be handled by Stripe and not stored directly by Dividend Visualizer. We may store your plan, subscription status, Stripe customer/subscription identifiers, and billing event history.
5. Uploads and Financial Data
Report uploads and portfolio data may contain sensitive financial information. Only upload information you are comfortable using with the service. Avoid uploading documents that include unnecessary personal information.
6. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers, when required by law, to protect the service, or as part of a business transfer.
7. Data Retention
We keep account, portfolio, and subscription information as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You may request deletion by contacting support.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, but no online service can guarantee perfect security.
9. Your Choices
You can choose not to upload reports, can manually edit or delete portfolio data where the app provides controls, and can request account/data deletion by contacting support.
